Cookie policy
Updated 13 October 2026. This page explains the small data files Kilter Hub may place in a browser.
It applies to public editorial pages, contact tools, and any preference controls available on this domain. A cookie is a short value stored by a browser; it is not the same as a full browsing history. The exact availability of a cookie can depend on browser settings, private browsing, device configuration, and whether a visitor has given optional consent.
1. What cookies do
Cookies remember a setting or support a technical function. They do not turn an editorial page into a profile of your private life.
They can help a page remember that a notice was dismissed, maintain a temporary request route, or measure a broad page event after permission. Cookie values are normally read by the site that created them and are not a substitute for an account password. We do not use the cookie banner to request information about a visitor’s private circumstances.
2. Essential operation
Session identifiers may last until the browser closes. They help the host route requests and protect ordinary navigation.
These values are used only where the page needs a technical continuity signal. They normally expire at the end of a browsing session and are not intended to identify a visitor across unrelated sites. If a browser blocks them, some navigation or message handling may need to be repeated. Essential values are used on the legitimate-interest basis of keeping a requested service available.
3. Preference choice
The cookieChoice item records whether you accepted or rejected the banner. It may remain for 12 months and can be deleted through browser controls.
The value stores a choice such as accepted, rejected, or updated; it does not store the contents of a reader’s message. A visitor may change the choice by clearing the value and using the banner again, where that control is available. At the end of 12 months, the site may ask for a fresh choice. Preference records are limited to the browser and device on which they were created.
4. Analytics
If optional analytics are introduced, they will be enabled only after consent, use limited event data, and expire within 13 months.
Possible event data could include a page path, approximate device category, referral category, and a timestamp, with settings configured to reduce direct identification. Analytics will not be activated merely because a visitor reads a page. Consent can be withdrawn without losing access to ordinary editorial content. A provider may process data on our instructions, and its own documentation will describe its technical handling.
5. Control
You can reject optional cookies in the banner or change browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect site operation.
Most browsers provide controls for deleting individual values, clearing all stored data, blocking third-party cookies, and asking before storage. Instructions differ between Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile browsers, so the browser’s current help page is the most accurate guide. Clearing cookies does not automatically delete a message already sent to Kilter; that is handled under the privacy policy. A new device may display the banner even when another device has a stored preference.
6. Third parties
Embedded services, if any, may set their own cookies under their own policies. We review embeds before publication.
Examples include a video, document viewer, map, or security service loaded from another domain. An embed is not treated as essential merely because it is visually convenient. We seek to avoid unnecessary third-party storage and may provide a direct link instead. Visitors should read the third party’s notice before interacting with its controls.
7. Consent
Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn without losing access to ordinary editorial pages.
We record the decision and the approximate time needed to demonstrate that the preference control operated, while avoiding unnecessary personal details. Rejection is treated as a valid choice and is not repeatedly challenged during the preference period. Withdrawal applies to future optional storage; it does not retroactively erase technical records already created. Where law requires a different approach, the more protective setting will be used.
8. Contact
Questions can be sent to Jalan Cendrawasih No. 25, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, 12180, Indonesia, or +62 813 5792 4680.
Please describe the browser, approximate date, and page involved without sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. We aim to acknowledge a cookie enquiry within 10 business days and answer it within 30 days where practicable. Requests about personal data are also handled under the privacy policy and may require proportionate identity confirmation.
9. Safety
Do not rely on cookies as a security measure. Keep your browser updated and avoid sharing personal information in public devices.
Cookies should not be treated as proof of identity, authorization, or confidentiality. Use private browsing or clear stored values on a shared device, and sign out of any external service opened through an embed. If a browser or extension reports unusual storage, preserve the page address and report it to the editorial desk. Kilter reviews technical settings when material infrastructure changes occur.
10. Revision
This version was published 13 October 2026. Future changes will include a visible date and a plain-language summary.
The 13 October 2026 edition clarified session, preference, analytics, and third-party categories. Future revisions will identify material changes to names, lifespans, purposes, or consent controls. A change log may remain available in the page text so that readers can compare the current explanation with the earlier version.
Typical technical values may include a short-lived session identifier that expires when the browser closes, cookieChoice lasting 12 months, and an optional measurement preference lasting up to 12 months. Names can change when the hosting configuration changes, so the purpose and lifespan shown in the preference panel are the controlling details. We do not use a cookie to store the contents of a contact message.
Optional analytics, if enabled, is configured to report broad page activity rather than advertising audiences. A measurement record may include a page path, approximate device category, language, and event time, while direct identifiers are not intentionally added to the event. Provider processing may occur across borders, subject to contractual safeguards and applicable privacy requirements.
You can delete stored values through browser settings, block future values, or revisit the consent control where available. Blocking essential values may cause a preference or contact flow to reset, but it does not prevent a visitor from contacting Kilter Hub by post or telephone. Questions about cookies should be sent to Jalan Cendrawasih No. 25, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, 12180, Indonesia, or +62 813 5792 4680.
We aim to acknowledge cookie-related requests within 7 calendar days and respond within 30 calendar days. This policy was updated on 13 October 2026 and may be revised when a provider, browser standard, or site function changes.
